Initial Lactation Consultation – Call for Pricing
Prior to your appointment we will collect a health history for both mom and baby to maximize our time together. During our 60-minute consultation we will address any and all questions and concerns you have, provide a physical examination of both mom and baby to optimize breastfeeding, and create a personalized feeding strategy to optimize your little one’s growth and development. After your session your lactation consultant will continue to check-in with you periodically to ensure breastfeeding success and answer any questions that may arise. Wondering if you need a lactation consultant? Check out our frequently asked questions here. If you or your infant has extenuating circumstances, such as maternal or infant illness, that prevent either one of you from being able to leave the home or hospital our International Board Certified Lactation Consultant will be happy to perform your consult at your home. Home visits are at the discretion of the IBCLC on-call, please call for more details.

Inducing Lactation or Re-inducing Lactation
Pea Pod’s lactation induction service is for any woman who will not be physically pregnant with her child (ex. adoption, surrogacy, etc.) but would like to breastfeed. The more time you allow to prepare your body for lactation the better the likely outcome. Therefore lactation consultations and education can last anywhere from a few weeks to 9 months or more. Because of the variable nature of this service please call for pricing details. Likewise, the time it takes to re-induce lactation can also vary tremendously. Re-inducing lactation takes place when a woman was physically pregnant with her child and initiated breastfeeding but stopped and would like to start again.
