Volunteer
Our volunteers are the backbone of our organization, and we are pleased to offer a variety of different opportunities that give our volunteers back as much as they give to us.
Volunteering with us is flexible and easy. We work with all of our volunteers to match them up with their interests and find them an opportunity that fits their schedule. Whether you are available daily, weekly, monthly or just for a one-time project, we’ve got something for you!
So what kind of volunteers are we looking for? While we will accept applications for volunteers in many areas, we do have several specific needs currently, including (click on each title for a full volunteer description):

We believe strongly in the power of mentoring, hands-on learning, cultivating the next generation of great talent. We accept interns year-round. Students majoring in Nutrition, Public Health, Anthropology, Journalism, and Early Childhood Education will take priority in the application process but all applicants are welcome. As a 501 c (3) non-profit Pea Pod also qualifies for the Federal Work-Study Program after approval by your institution’s financial department.
