Programs

Pea Pod Nutrition and Lactation Support is a 501(c)3 non-profit. Thanks to our generous donors, partnerships and grants we are honored to be able to offer the following services to Georgia Families.

Warm Hearts Fund

Warm Hearts Fund is dedicated to alleviating the hardships faced by homeless families during cold weather. We provide essential resources, including warm meals, blankets, and clothing, to help them stay safe and healthy. By offering these basic necessities, we aim to provide comfort, dignity, and a sense of hope to those in need. The Warm Hearts Fund is a seasonal program running from November to March of each year.

Diabetes in Pregnancy Program

The Diabetes in Pregnancy Program started with a statistic - Georgia has the highest rate of maternal mortality in the United States AND the United States has the highest incidence of maternal mortality in the developed world. With that in mind DiPP founder, Alicia C. Simpson, got to work brainstorming a plan to provide much-needed healthcare to underserved pregnant parents in Georgia with the lofty goal of kicking Georgia out of its #1 spot as the deadliest state for pregnant parents and improving the health and well being of Georgia residents one family at a time.

Sea Lactation

Sea Lactation is a nursing support group for trans-parents. 100% free and open to trans-parents all over the country. We meet the first Wednesday of every month at 12noon EST.
